IKS Klingelnberg Headquarters
IKS Klingelnberg Group with headquarters in Remscheid/Germany launched the production of industrial knives in 1908 as one of the pioneers. Today IKS Klingelnberg is one of the oldest knife factories which still produces in the region Bergisches Land which is marked by tool making and became the leading manufacturer and supplier in the world for almost all industries.
Since 1993, the company has been managed by the managing partner & CEO Dipl. Ing. Thomas Meyer.
The export share - which also symbolizes international competitiveness - for round and long machine knives amounts to a considerable value of 75 %.
Specialized production sites of the group in Germany can be found in Remscheid, Geringswalde and Bargteheide and two factories are in Austria and Finland. The production sites and sales offices in Asia (Shanghai, Indonesia and Malaysia) offer their products especially in the Asian market.
In this huge region which grows on an above average scale, IKS Klingelnberg Group uses its own employees trained in Germany in order to pass on the know-how.
In addition to the 8 production sites, sales and service offices in the USA (Cincinnati), Canada (St. Alphonse de Granby), France (Bondues) and the Netherlands (Capelle a/d Ijssel) as well as numerous agencies all over the world complement the presence of the group in the most important markets.
The operational business of the group is up to the following divisions and business units:
Division Paper
It is divided into the business units: Pulp and paper industry, Tissue paper industry, printing and packaging industry and postpress industry.
Division Wood
The product range of the Division Wood includes tools for the sawmill, pulp, plywood, particle board and veneer industry.
Division Metal
It is divided into the ranges: Hot Mill, cold rolling mill, steel service center and non-ferrous industry.
Business Unit Plastics, rubber and recycling industry
Business Unit Machine Elements
Among others the product range includes guideways, bending tools and clamping elements.
Business Unit Service
It offers grinding and repair services with pick-up and drop-off service.
