Drupa 2012 Results and Update on enpurex®,

Our New Revolutionary Anilox Cleaning Liquid

Drupa 2012 visitors were down from previous years but the TKM Group was pleased with the results from visits to their stands in Halls 3 (Rolf Meyer) and 11 (IKS Klingelnberg). New products were introduced including a new plasma coated guillotine knife. This new technology eliminates buildup on the knife while cutting aluminum litho-plate. We also introduced our new MegaPrint Protect ceramic coated doctor blade for gravure printing. The most excitement at our Rolf Meyer stand in Hall 3 was in relation to enpurex®, our new revolutionary anilox cleaner. We gave continual live cleaning demonstrations, and the volume of traffic was very good due to the buzz surrounding the quick and effective manner in which it works.

Rolf Meyer GmbH (Bargteheide/Germany) acquired the worldwide distribution rights for enpurex® for the printing, packaging and tissue industries from its developer Bubbles & Beyond (Leipzig/Germany) effective January 2012. TKM United States and Rolf Meyer GmbH are both part of the TKM Group, and TKM United States is the sole distributor of enpurex in North America.

Enpurex® was created with the advanced technology of Bubbles & Beyond’s growing portfolio of Intelligent Fluids™. The unique way in which it physically breaks the bond between the ink and the anilox roller provides a big economic and environmental advantage. Simply put, this new cleaner quickly and gently deep cleans anilox rollers like no other cleaner on the market.
 

In addition to being highly effective, the patented enpurex® product line is 100% biodegradable and pH neutral. The cleaner is water based and acid free. It removes layers of ink and lacquer quickly and mildly, without leaving any residue. Specialized cleaning sponges were also introduced to help achieve optimum results.

Testing at customers in the printing, packaging and tissue industries are already underway and are proving to be highly effective and reliable.

Joe Daugherty, Tissue Product Specialist

Joe Daugherty has accepted the position of Tissue Product Specialist and brings almost 30 years of experience in the industrial knife sales, manufacturing and service industries.  Joe also brings his specialized skills in mechanical problem solving and customer service to this important position.  His experience is enhanced by a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology.

As Tissue Product Specialist, Joe is responsible for the overall coordination of sales and marketing in the growing tissue industry.

• Researching and evaluating sales opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights within the North American Tissue Industry.
• Overall marketing strategy and execution of plans for existing and potential tissue customers.
• Working closely with our Regional Sales Managers in the field and Cody Painter in our Erlanger office to increase our tissue industry business. Joe will work with our consulting resources and global sales persons in the IKS-Klingelnberg Group who are also focused on expanding our tissue business.
• Ensuring effective, branded marketing communications including the company website, print communication and advertising.

Strategic collaboration between BTG and Rolf Meyer GmbH gives you added value

BTG Eclépens S.A, Switzerland, supplier to the Pulp & Paper Industry and the inventor and manufacturer of the original high-performance printing blade Duroblade®, and Rolf Meyer GmbH Germany, manufacturer and international supplier with 40 years’ expertise focused on the illustration and packaging printing business, signed a worldwide collaboration agreement on August 17th, 2009, effective on the 1st of September 2009.

Rolf Meyer GmbH, market leader in printing doctor blades, high-performance knives and spare parts for the printing and packaging industry will take over the sales and marketing activities and sell BTG´s Duroblade under the new product name of RMB DuroBlade for flexo and gravure applications. BTG, with its unique manufacturing know-how will continue manufacturing the blade.

The goal of the alliance is to extend and strengthen the position of BTG and Rolf Meyer in the printing industry and consolidate the distribution network for RMB DuroBlade.
