Joe Daugherty, Tissue Product Specialist

Joe Daugherty has accepted the position of Tissue Product Specialist and brings almost 30 years of experience in the industrial knife sales, manufacturing and service industries.  Joe also brings his specialized skills in mechanical problem solving and customer service to this important position.  His experience is enhanced by a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology.

As Tissue Product Specialist, Joe is responsible for the overall coordination of sales and marketing in the growing tissue industry.

• Researching and evaluating sales opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights within the North American Tissue Industry.
• Overall marketing strategy and execution of plans for existing and potential tissue customers.
• Working closely with our Regional Sales Managers in the field and Cody Painter in our Erlanger office to increase our tissue industry business. Joe will work with our consulting resources and global sales persons in the IKS-Klingelnberg Group who are also focused on expanding our tissue business.
• Ensuring effective, branded marketing communications including the company website, print communication and advertising.

Strategic collaboration between BTG and Rolf Meyer GmbH gives you added value

BTG Eclépens S.A, Switzerland, supplier to the Pulp & Paper Industry and the inventor and manufacturer of the original high-performance printing blade Duroblade®, and Rolf Meyer GmbH Germany, manufacturer and international supplier with 40 years’ expertise focused on the illustration and packaging printing business, signed a worldwide collaboration agreement on August 17th, 2009, effective on the 1st of September 2009.

Rolf Meyer GmbH, market leader in printing doctor blades, high-performance knives and spare parts for the printing and packaging industry will take over the sales and marketing activities and sell BTG´s Duroblade under the new product name of RMB DuroBlade for flexo and gravure applications. BTG, with its unique manufacturing know-how will continue manufacturing the blade.

The goal of the alliance is to extend and strengthen the position of BTG and Rolf Meyer in the printing industry and consolidate the distribution network for RMB DuroBlade.
