TKM's parent company, IKS Klingelnberg GmbH of Remscheid Germany, has pioneered the manufacturing of knives for veneer slicing, rotary peeling and clipping for almost 100 years.

We are one of a select few producers in the world to have perfected close tolerance, precision manufacturing and accurate heat treatment of long slicing and peeling knives. Extreme flatness, parallelism and edge holding ability provide hours of continuous veneer cutting to closely controlled thickness requirements.

All TKM veneer slicing and peeling knives are produced from specialized non-staining, high-alloy steels in lengths up to 225" (over 5,7 meters). TKM Pressure Bars and Clipper Knives are also produced from special alloy steels under the same strict manufacturing standards.
